Abstract: | Most organizations have some form of a computerized human resources information system (HRIS). It could be an elaborate mainframe payroll/personnel system, a network of personal computers or various stand-alone personal computer applications that serve specific functions. There are some basic performance issues that can be addressed to evaluate whether an HRIS works and some specific solutions to fix the problem areas. If human resources professionals feel they are a slave to data entry and do not gain useful reports, the HRIS is not working. |
