Abstract:A study was conducted to assess the effects of an onsite child care center on work-related outcome variables. The results didn't confirm that on-site child care reduces work/family conflict and absenteeism of employed families. But the results indicated that supportive supervision and satisfaction with child care arrangements were related to less work/family conflict. Lower levels of this conflict were found to be related to lower absenteeism.
