Abstract: | Is the experience of large firms with information technology relevant to small firms? Seven criteria for the acquisition, updating, updating and replacement of information technology in small business are presented: 1. investing in IT is a necessity for any good company; 2. rely on vendors; listen to other companies; 3. invest and "stay with the technology; don't wait for the next generation; 4. to be a follower in the area of IT is often an advantage rather than a hindrance; 5. learn as much as possible about the technology; 6. solve human problems with understanding; 7. think over your needs, IT capabilities, price, adoption issues, extendibility, compatibility, the total life cycle of technology, impact on business strategy. |
