Abstract:The largest German tourist trade enterprise, TUI is examined in the light of the recent liberalization of the German holiday market. The list of the largest German firms engaged in tourism is presented, new developments and trends of the tourist trade business are described. Key factors of success in tourism are analyzed, business strategies of different companies fighting each other in the sharp competition of the industry are presented too.
