| Abstract: | Bell Helicopter Textron moved its helicopter manufacturing operations to Canada from Texas in 1984, finding a shortage of workers who had the skills it needed. To solve the problem, Bell's human resources department set up a training program and had trained 240 people in aircraft assembly within 3 years. Not only did the program help Bell Helicopter keep its doors open for business, but is also paved the way for the company's business to take flight. |
