Abstract:In June 1992 ESOMAR in conjunction with the Advertising Research Foundation organised a worldwide symposium on broadcast audience research. Attended by over 200 delegates from 26 different countries it was hihgly successful event. A total of 50 papers were delivered and 5 are reproduced in this issue of the magazine. The problems dealt with are - maintaining interest and involvement in consumer panels, - standardising audience measurement, - development of a non-telephone peoplemeter, - research in Central and Eastern Europe, and - measurement of children radio audiences.
