| Abstract: | Reports the findings of a survey conducted in Hong Kong to investigate the experience of implementing ISO 9000. The companies which took part in the survey fell into three categories, namely, service, manufacturing, and building and construction. These companies had different quality management backgrounds prior to implementing ISO 9000. Their motives to certification also varied. Disregarding the differences in their backgrounds and motives, all companies were able to pass the certification audits. |
