Abstract: | Be sure to consider the long term in establishing or revising your approach to developing new products. Phylo Corporation's Phased Product Review Process team declared victory. It had just scored at a management committee meeting outlining a "reengineered" new product development process for the company. After seven months of intense work negotiating "buy-ins" from functional vice presidents, they finally received a resounding "Great job!" from the CEO. Yet in the eyes of some the six member team hadn't really accomplished its goal. |
