| Abstract: | It's hard to find a European CEO today who isn't talking about shareholder value. Yes, these captains of industry worry about high unemployment and the future of the euro, but their overriding concern, it seems, is how to increase wealth for their investors. That, at least, was the message delivered at a recent Fortune conference in Baden-Baden, Germany, attended by 50 CEOs, many of them from European powerhouses like Daimler-Benz, ABB, and Glaxo Wellcome. |
