Abstract:The paper contributes to the study of information sourcing behaviour of travellers and considers the impact of the WWW on the composition of information sources. A case study is conducted within the Swiss travelling population. It seems that travellers who assign a high importance to the WWW as a source of information are younger and better educated, hold good professional positions/ are undergoing training. WWW appears to be complementary rather than a substitutive source. However, travel situation does have an effect on that.
