Abstract:The idea of this paper is to examine travelers' information sourcing behavior and compare the use of online and printed destination information. The particular case analyzed was Switzerland which stands for a very mature travel market. The paper identifies several contextual factors that influenced the selection of information source. According to the findings e.g. not very educated and older people preferred destination information brochures while young and well educated tourists use online information.
