Abstract: | A review of the development of a model resting on the premise that consumers vary their assessment of alternatives in a choice set depending on the conditions in the informational environment, using the model to define the concept of decision effectiveness, the consumer's ability to accurately assess the utility value of available alternatives, information quantity and information quality, decision effectiveness, the marginal effects of the factors used and how evaluations were found to suffer in situations where high levels of information quality were available. |
