DECISION ANALYSIS
Language:eng
Abstract:A multi-objective decision-analysis procedure is reviewed, which was developed to assist a company in selecting strategy for dealing with microcomputer networking. Quantitative evaluation measures or attributes are defined to specify how well each decision alternative of strategy performs with respect to each evaluation consideration. Measures are combined, using a multi-attribute utility function, into a single index of overall desirability of a strategy alternative. Steps of methodology are identification of feasible networking strategies, specification of evaluation measures and utility function, estimation of performance including uncertainty, evaluation of strategies using sensitivity analysis.
