Abstract: | Analytic tools for strategic logistics planning are considered, particularly the newer tools which involve leveraging logistics, evaluating the impacts of proposed corporate strategic plans and supporting the corporate strategic plan. Companies need to access the external environment, looking at economic factors, technology and competitive factors, regulatory factors, and to examine their internal capabilities, thus determining the firm's objectives in terms of growth, market share, profitability and social responsibility. |
