Abstract:A complex, completely integrated program for creating and maintaining real - lasting - organizationwide improvement is described. The core of it is a sequence of five tracks. The first three tracks - the culture track, the management skills track, and the team-building track - address the "people" side of the organization. The last two tracks, the strategy-structure track and the reward system track, address the formal organization: the systems, resources, technologies, and job descriptions. All these are surrounded by five stages of planned change which include: initiating the program, diagnosing barriers to success, implementing the tracks, evaluating the results, and determining responses to the changing environment.
