Abstract:In recent years piracy levels have been the highest in Greece and Turkey, resp. First Greece has taken successful steps to solve the problem, namely much stiffer penalties were inflicted for piracy. As a consequence piracy level sharply decreased. The situation was more serious in Turkey where the government and police together with the association of producers took part in the battle reducing pirated material on the market considerably.
