Abstract:Radio Luxembourg is going on with its plans for an Irish-based long wave entertainment station. Two 300 Kw transmitters have been ordered from Continental Electronics for this joint venture with Irish state broadcaster RTE. A separate sales and marketing company will be set up at Luxembourg's London offices. 60% will be owned by RTE. The station is to start in the middle of 1988. The strip show format will offer music similar to Radio Luxembourg's night time shows for listeners aged 16-34 from 6.00 till 19.00.
