| Abstract: | Several contradictions exist between European governments over broadcasting policy. A highly controversial topic is European programme quotas. At the TV and 1992 conference last week, several speakers dealt with the difficulties in harmonising standards.Most countries are against the copyright chapter.On the issue of technical barriers, IBA special adviser said that European investment in HDTV would ensure a single future standard in Europe. |
