Abstract: | The intellectual equity of an enterprise is the quantum of vision, knowledge and skill available to it. Management development creates a real stake in the intellectual equity of the enterprise. International Management Centre from Buckingham (IMCB) built its programmes of management development on these principles and on the principles of action learning. How theory and practice go to work in IMCB's programme and action learning, is modelled. Organizational propositions for management development are discussed. Since 1982 IMCB worked as a business school with over 300 enterprises. Diverse situations have been tackled; the case of silicone maufacturing, banking, railways, and liquor is presented. |
