Abstract:Divisional graphs allow supervisors to compare two areas and discuss differences. This information about their staff can be used as a managing tool. Although the human resources staff does not state what anyone's increase should be, it does make suggestions. This system is a basis for attempting to achieve equity based on performance. Other services the human resources information services staff provides for the merit planning process include the reports for the matrix and worksheets that actually calculate a range and merit increase.
