Abstract:A veritable knowledge movement (henceforth as: knl-mvt.) has emerged covering several fields in management. This study explores alternative research strategies with the knl-mvt., differentiating btw. capabilities first, networks first and individuals first strategies. Reasons are given why there is more attention needed for the research to allocate to the latter strategy if the knl-mvt. is to continue making progress. Yet, the aim should essentially be to reach towards multi-level research combining aggregate constructs with top-down processes and bottom-up processes.
