| Abstract: | A report is given on the results of an empirical study accomplished through a survey of 21 American companies into the organizational and operational factors which influence the success of the "just-in-time" purchasing strategies. Recommendations are given on the organization of both human and operational factors as a complexity,not just as a series of techniques. Guidelines for the development of appropriate purchasing systems,human resources management and personal contacts network are suggested. |
