Abstract:As a project is completed, it will move from the project mode into the operation mode. To do that, it will have to pass the Acceptance Phase. All the various project milestones and the five main project phases - conception phase; definition (or design) phase: realization phase; acceptance phase; operation phase - are described. Two types of standards - standards of performance and standards of acceptance - are briefly reviewed. In addition, a review of a "punch list" to use in reconciling the differences between the project's original standards and what has actually produced is also presented. It concludes with a discussion of a checklist to be used during a project's conclusion.
