| Abstract: | According to the current social theory, technology is playing a key role in speeding the pace of life. This article reviews empirically the concepts of time and speed. It is found that the experience of time pressure is complex, and the role of technology is not only to accelerate. The main conclusion is that the social theory should be connected with empirical studies in order to get the real picture of the issue. |
