Abstract:The study investigates the environmental changes that a single individual can make through marginal lifestyle changes. Specifically the study concentrates on the climate change. If large numbers of individuals make marginal improvements in their environmental impact, the individual improvements cumulate. This will appear as a marginal collective improvement in environmental impact. The findings reveal that the reasons underlying the adoption of a particular behaviour have an important bearing on an individual’s inclination to adopt further behavioural changes.
