Abstract:This paper investigates the relationship between different market segments and three factors that influence the customers' overall satisfaction: basic, performance and excitement factors. The paper is based on an extensive empirical study with a sample of 6172 questionnaire responses of the customers of the Alpine ski resorts. The paper documents that there were significant differences between the tourists’ lifestyle segments.
