Abstract:The paper reports on LBO and venture capital companies which are looking for new and profitable ways to liquidate their investments made in the late eighties. The usual exit strategies do not work, because economic conditions are poor. Pooling-of-interests transactions are receiving significant attention from LBO and venture capital companies. The difference between the traditional and the new methods may be dramatic.
