Abstract:Violence on television in small close-knit communities can cause problems that the bigger public service broadcasters do not have to contend with. The mixture of fact and fiction which is television's daily fare makes the representation of violence, whether in news or in drama, a problematic subject, as old as television itself. This article is about how a small television channel tackles the problem.
