| Abstract: | Many now recognise the 1990s as a period of transition where change is continuing , if somewhat slowly. Within the broadcasting industry, it appears that the technical and engineering fields have been the most neglected in the push for equal opportunities. But the problem is not merely a lack of "jobs for the girls", but a deeper sociological one, where education and culture play a large part in restricting opportunity. |
