| Abstract: | This overview will not be any precise historical or analytical study of the congresses and their significance to the accounting development in Europe. However, the author will present his personal view based on material that was distributed to participants and notes the author took during congresses, without going into details. The author states that he is well aware that the material at his disposal is incomplete and allows only indicative conclusions. European Accounting Association (EAA) has organized twenty-four congresses up to this time, and they can be divided into four groups in chronological order. |
