| Abstract: | The Coalition Agreement signed on the formation of the present German federal government in Oct 2002 announced a "consumer policy programme" of the kind consumer pressure groups have been calling for ever since the Federal Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food, and Agriculture (BMVEL) was first established in Jan 2001. The Scientific Advisory Board of Consumer, Food, and Nutrition Policies has an advisory role in the Ministry's development of a consumer policy model and a consumer policy programme. This discussion paper presents the Board's position and serves as a platform for discussion. |
