| Abstract: | Radio broadcasts aimed at listeners outside the national boundaries of the originating country are examined. There is a great interest in international broadcasts in countries where local choice is poor or local media are subject to government control and censorship. BBC's research shows that listeners favour it because of its service of news and current affairs. During times of local and international tensions, people tune to foreign station for alternative news. It would be worth examining the political significance of these broadcasting. |
