Abstract:The English views differ on the merits of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, although it is beyond question that it represents a substantial piece of work on international sales law. Critics have argued that the Convention itself is incomplete and uncertain. The purpose of this article is to offer a considered review of the scope of the Convention, in order that, in conclusion, the question of ratification by the United Kingdom can be addressed.
