| Abstract: | A contract of sale which contains a retention of title clause gives rise to a variety of difficulties in the context of a situation involving a conflict of laws. Few of these difficulties are the subject of direct English authority. This article attempts to identify and discuss the difficulties and to suggest a framework of analysis by reference to which they may be resolved. |
