| Abstract: | According to the new change of international maritime statutes and the variation of international shipping operation and management, the periodical shipping insurance clause set in 1983 by London Association with a significant influence on shipping insurance market was correspondingly amended in 1995. China's shipping insurance clause was based on the 1983 Association clause, which is now far behind the new development of international maritime law. This article starts with the reason and main change of U.K.'s revision of shipping insurance clause, comparison between shipping insurance clause of China and U.K., and the suggestion on the revision of China's shipping insurance clause, with the expectation that China's shipping insurance clause can adapt to the trend of international maritime insurance. |
