Abstract:This article analyses the Sustainability Assessment by Fuzzy Evaluation (SAFE) model performing a sensitivity analysis with the goal of determining the most important factors that contribute to sustainable development (hereafter as: SD). The factors are divided into promoting, impeding, or having no effect on the progress towards SD. The results show that more developed countries should focus on the degradation of their environment, while less developed countries need to improve both the environment and the human system.
