Abstract:This article studies diverse mechanisms used by multinational corporations (MNCs) in Nigeria looking for to make long-term social investments (here as: s-invts.) aimed at improving water provision by increasing local capacity. The authors discuss that partnering with community enterprise, a form of social enterprise, is the most effective approach of governance through which MNCs can manage s-invts.
