| Abstract: | Ukraine economic reform has come to a stumbling halt and steady decline lies ahead. The Ukrainian currency is now worth barely a twentieth of the Russian rouble. Ukraine's nascent banking system has had no chance of getting on its feet. In its latest economic review of Ukraine, published in September 1993, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) paints a grim picture of the economy and the reform process. |
