| Abstract: | Many banks in Asia and the Pacific (excluding Japan) reported lower returns in their latest annual financial statements. Although losses were rare, the level of pre-tax profits decreased. A widespread erosion of capital strength is also clear. These are the main conclusions to derive from Asian Top 200 the new listing of international banks by the Banker. |
