Abstract:Often, existing diffusion models are misinterpreted or their application is faulty. The limitations of such models are then seen in getting chaotic results. However, criticism generally is limited to the mathematical equations without paying attention to behavioural aspects. This paper proves the broad applicability of diffusion models to explain the more or less strong regularities of the diffusion processes of new products by using them in an adequate way.
