Abstract: | From 1991 to 1995, China's textile industry is adjusting its products structure and has developed many fine textile products. The best one throughout the country is the 220s/2 drilled textiles and the 250s/2 high-grade satin embroidery cover gift-handkerchief developed by the Shanghai National Cotton No.8 factory as well as the Hansen International Company. The yarn slip has reached an international standard in CV value. The high-count and high-density eider down cloth, the polyester fibre emulation product, the sticky fibre soft plain-weave silk fabric product, the printed calico for decoration and some other type of items have all generated a batch of new products. In 1995, China's export of textiles and clothing reached approximately US dollar 38 billion, accounting for 30% or so of the country's total export value. |
