Abstract:In industries that produce high-technology or are reliant on technology for administrative or manufacturing processes, it is essential appropriately to link cash flows. In previous research, not much attention has been paid to obstacles in linking technology to markets. Grounded in a literature-based discussion of technology and market opportunity, the authors develop a conceptual framework for identifying and understanding the barriers facing managers in the process of matching technologies to market opportunities.
