Abstract:An effective way to improve the ideation process can be achieved by using structured methods for managing business innovation. Teaching structured methods is an efficient way to enhance the innovative capabilities of companies and to develop creative products for the marketplace. This paper reviews structured models of innovation and product development. An approach is presented based on several MSc student projects. Described four case studies deal with a pressure cooker, a hip car, a product for the elderly, and an entertainer child seat.
