Abstract:The extremely competitive market situation enforces companies to make continuous efforts in creativity. The solution does not only consist in fundamental research. Other - non technological - ways can lead towards innovation, new products and markets. Innovation is not a simple technological problem. Psychological and cultural factors determine its success. Market research is of special importance. It has to take into account demographic trends, new social models, the mutation of working population and the changes of fashion. It is necessary to develop special sales strategy for different categories of consumers according to the time and money at their disposal.
