| Abstract: | The Heckscher-Ohlin model is employed to analyse the relationship between factor endowments, factor intensity and foreign trade. The empirical examination largely concurs with theory. The Bothnian area is net exporter in industries where the natural resource intensity is high and where there is high energy intensity. In addition, the counties are net exporters in industries that make intensive use of their abundant factor. |
