Abstract:The article discusses the transfer of managerial theories and practices from traditional capitalist economies such as United Kingdom (U.K.) and United States (U.S.) to post-socialist economies, which are now experiencing an era of changes by implementing new market reforms. A comparative study based on an attitudinal survay of workers in 15 countries aims at analyzing various attitudes and values of employees as well as human resource management practices and organization development in both, traditional capitalist countries and post-socialist countries. The findings show partly significant attitudinal and value-based differences among workers between post-socialist and capitalist countries.
