| Abstract: | With Communism dead and fears of a fortress Europe largely dispelled, the stage is now set for investment opportunities in both Eastern and Westerm Europe. The 12 EC nations are moving toward a single market, with, eventually, a single currency. Opportunities will abound for those companies that are skillful and diligent , and that, most of all, can find their way successfully through a web of complex international dealings. Four articles track the changes, provide some quidelines, describe the experiences of a number of corporations, and emphasize that while the cultural, legislative, and linguistic barriers may be daunting, it's often worth the effort. |
