| Abstract: | There may be more questions than answers. Wall Street's financial engineers have created many new products in the past decade. These innovations involve taking traditional financial instruments such as loans, bonds and stocks and isolating their basic components: agreements to pay, receive or otherwise exchange cash or other financial consideration. Limited only by computing power and their own imaginations, these financial wizards are reengineering these basic components to exploit their unique risks and rewards by creating new combinations and relationships. |
