Abstract:In China, everyone can be George Soros," declares Chinese stock trader Jimmy Zou, referring to the billionaire investor. "There are lots of regulations, but no one minds them." Indeed, that's one reason the fresh-faced 30 year old pocketed 200,000 renminbi in 1991 when he first dabbled in China's stockmarkets and has raked in big bucks ever since. "It's just like the U.S. at the beginning of the century," he quips, his diamond-studded ring flashing as he finishes a cappuccino at an Italian restaurant in Shanghai's former French concession.
