| Abstract: | A new form of business organisation has been proposed in the United Kingdom after a century in which the basic limited liability company, general partnership and limited partnership of the 1907 Act variety have appeared to suffice. In many ways this increase of available legal forms is to be welcomed, but why is the proposal limited to professional partnerships and why has it been rushed through to consultative document stage rather than forming part of the Law Commission's wide-ranging review of partnership law announced in February 1997? |
